Crosby beach, with it's Antony Gormley 'Another Place' is just fabulous! You could lose yourself on that beach for sure. Gorgeous sand and dunes to relax in, kick off your shoes and dip your toes in.
I never said it was warm!
But step back into the streets behind the dunes, and you'll find a little town working hard to be a destination for shopping small, local and artisan. Cafe culture has arrived in Crosby and surrounded by all the independents on the St Johns Road it's a rich and vibrant creative hub.
And among them is Florence and Fox, a gift shop which is wonderfully curated by Tracy. An experienced crafter herself, we first met when we were working the craft markets of Liverpool together and when I was asked to become a stockist in her very own shop, well of course I said yes!
Tracy specialisies in creating with Liberty Fabrics and you can find her own work there but in this shop there is also a lot of creativity encouraged and the shop holds classes to create home decor, many of which are ran by Tracy herself.
A specialty of Florence and Fox are the pieces with represent the strong identity of Liverpool. Iconic pieces are present throughout the store and it's varied and interesting curation reflects the heritage of this fantastic and proud city.
Liverpool holds a very special place in my heart as I lived there for many years and I am so pleased to have a continuing connection to it through my work, plus a reason to return often!
