Helen is a really good teacher. I was nervous about trying sewing for the first time, but now I'm excited to give it another go.
The class was small and friendly and it was a lovely way to start a new skill.
I would highly recommend this class to anyone who would like to learn the sewing machine.
Today I attended the Beginners Sewing Machine Class with Helen in Royton and had such a fantastic experience. Helen was incredibly friendly, patient, attentive and made everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
She explained everything clearly, from learning the different parts of the sewing machine to building our confidence using it, and was always on hand to offer help and encouragement whenever it was needed.
By the end of the class we had all made a beautiful beach bag, and I honestly couldn't believe I'd created something that looked so professional as a complete beginner! I left feeling much more confident and excited to start my own sewing projects.
I would highly recommend this class to anyone thinking about learning to sew. Thank you, Helen, for such an enjoyable, relaxed and inspiring day!
The class was very enjoyable. I learnt how to use my sewing machine properly after years of taking a gap in sewing. I would recommend the course to anyone wanting to start or restart sewing. Helen is a great teacher. Added bonus making a lined bag to show our achievements.
Had a really good time with Helen at the beginners sewing class. Was so nervous beforehand but Helen soon made you feel at ease, so down to earth and very easy to get along with. The content of the class was just right and to actually make your own tote bag to take home was a huge bonus and totally unexpected. Would highly recommend doing a class with Helen - fabulous.
The beginners class was JUST that. Being able to lend a sewing machine was even better. Helen gave everyone 1-1 tutorials and was so friendly. Would really recommend.
