Young Makers — 4‑Week Sewing Course
Perfect for ages 9–12 • 1 hour 45 mins per week on 4 consecutive Saturdays • All materials included.
DATES - Nov 28th, Dec 5th, Dec 12th, Dec 19th 1pm - 2.45pm
Give your child the confidence to sew, create, and make useful projects they’ll be proud of. Over four weeks, they’ll learn how to use a sewing machine safely, sew straight lines, install a zip, sew curves, and follow simple pattern pieces — all while completing a finished project every single week.
This course is designed for beginners and returners. Children can bring their own machine or borrow one in the studio.
⭐ What they’ll make
Your child will complete four projects across the block:
Week 1 — Scrunchies
A confidence‑building first project focused on straight‑line sewing.
Week 2 — Pencil Roll
Lots of straight‑line practice to build neatness and control. Includes adding personalisation using a heat transfer application.
Week 3 — Zipped Bag with Box Corners
A useful bag introducing zips and shaping.
Week 4 — Apron
Curves, seams, straps and a pocket — a brilliant final project for the kitchen or craft table.
